Who are we?
We are a Community Interest Company whose Directors and Members are like minded Walton individuals with an affinity for Walton, whose aim is to enthuse and inspire the people of Walton to celebrate our village by organising inclusive events for the benefit of all. Our main aim is to deliver various community events throughout the year to appeal to all age groups and provide all Walton residents with chances to get together to celebrate our village with any surplus money being used for the benefit of our community. Occasionally, we will co-ordinate or assist in the co-ordination of other activities for the benefit of our community. In addition, occasionally we may also decide from time to time to use some surplus money to make donations to charitable organisations with the consent of the Community Interest Company Regulator
For the purposes of this Notice, references to ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘W4W’ mean Working for Walton C.I.C.
How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you when you use our website, social media sites or directly contact us by email, phone or in person. This could be, for example, when you register interest in our events or submit a comment or ask us question.

The personal information we collect might include your name, telephone number, address, email address, bank account & payment details, photos, videos,
How is your information used?
We will collect your personal data in a number of ways including, but not limited to:
- When you sign up as a volunteer
- When you submit a comment on our website
- When you attend events hosted by Working for Walton.
- When you engage with us on social media.
- When you visit our website.
- When you contact us by any means with questions, information requests etc.
- When we need to arrange payment for services or goods
- When you’ve given a third-party permission to share with us the information, they hold about you.
We will ensure that this information is processed in a lawful manner and is only used for relevant and necessary purposes.
The information that we collect is necessary for W4W to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations and in pursuing legitimate interests in managing the objectives of our Community Interest Company. We may use your information to:
- confirm your identity to provide or receive a service;
- contact you by post, email, telephone or using social media (e.g Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger, Twitter);
- process a payment that you have made or that is due to you;
- carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us;
- ensure our events and/ or activities are carried out in a safe manner and comply with relevant health & safety legislation (including any relevant safeguarding legislation);
- maintain W4W accounts and records which comply with being a Community Interest Company;
- seek your views, opinions or comments on the services we provide;
- notify you of our events and/ or of any changes to our events;
- send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you;
- allow statistical analysis of data so we can plan events and activities for the community benefit
In accordance with relevant legislation, we will not retain your information for longer than is necessary for the purposes listed above and to deal with any complaint or dispute you may have. Who has access to your information?
Working for Walton C.I.C. Directors and Members will have access to your information. A list of these individuals is maintained on our website and also by the Community Interest Company Regulator. We will not sell or rent your information to third parties and will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us, then you can select your choices by ticking the relevant boxes situated on the form on which we collect your information.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted.
