Coffee Morning – Saturday 14th February 2026

Spring Litter Pick – Saturday 21st March 2026
10:00am – 12:00 noon meet at Walton Recreation Ground, School Lane (opposite the Village Hall)
We extend a warm welcome to all Litter pickers, who should meet up with the team at the Recreation Ground, opposite the Village Hall on School Lane at 10am
Please pop along & help us to keep our lovely village tidy. It’s good fun & takes just a couple of hours.
Hi visibility jackets and litter picking equipment will be provided. Children are most welcome but should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Please arrive by 10.00am for a quick safety briefing.
Party in the Park – Sunday 31st May 2026
12 noon to 5.00pm – Walton Recreation Ground (opposite Walton Village Hall, School Lane)

Walton Scarecrow Festival – Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th September 2026
10am to 5pm (Saturday) and 10am to 7pm (Sunday) at Scarecrow HQ – Village Hall, School Lane, Walton, WF2 6PA
Join us for our 9th annual Scarecrow Festival. Purchase a map from Scarecrow HQ (Walton Village Hall) throughout the weekend to follow the Scarecrow village trail. Once you’ve seen them all, vote for your favourite back at Scarecrow HQ and stay for a cuppa and a cake in our pop up café, or maybe something stronger from the licenced bar. Prize giving is from 5pm on Sunday 13th September 2026 at Scarecrow HQ – please come along and join in the fun.

Proceeds from the weekend help fund Walton’s Christmas Trees and Light Switch On event in December.
The weekend wouldn’t be possible without the efforts of the many villagers who get creative and build scarecrows to display. Please continue to support us (and your village) by building a scarecrow. Entry Forms will be available from June 2026 … watch this space.
Walton Village Christmas Lights Switch On – Sunday 29th November 2026
From 4.30pm to 7.00pm at Walton Village Hall, School Lane
Start your Christmas celebrations with our tenth annual Christmas lights switch-on event. There will be lots of entertainment during the evening, with a special appearance from Father Christmas himself!
From 4.30pm – complimentary cafe opens, in the Village Hall. Hot chocolate being served by those fabulous elves 🧝♀️
From 4.30pm 🍔🌭Hot food available to purchase on School Lane
From 4.30pm 🍺🥂outdoor licensed bar opens… always a favourite… hot mulled wine on sale 🍷
